We begin with Nainital.

Encircled by seven hills known as "Sapta-Shring," with Lake Naini in the centre, Nainital first appeared in an edition of the ‘Englishman Calcutta'.

• Nainital is one of the 64 ‘Shakti Peeths'. According to the legend, Sati's left eye (Nain) fell here, giving a name to the town of Nainital. The Naina Devi shrine is near the lake's northern end.

The nearest railway station from Corbett is Ramnagar. It is around 12 km from the park and is directly connected to the railway stations in Delhi. 

By road, the distance between Delhi and Corbett is 270 km.

The nearest Domestic Airport is Pantnagar, roughly one and half hours drive from Corbett.
